Because we recognize the individual needs of our residents, three different lifestyle choices are offered, however the Nursing Manager will assess each resident on a monthly basis to ensure that they are on the correct level of service:

The levies below are in respect of the year ending 28/02/2013.

1.) RUBY

This is our basic service package available to all residents. Included in the Ruby levy are the following:

Health Care:

Supervision by nursing manager
Regular monitoring by nursing staff
24-hour nurses and carers on duty
24-hour emergency call facility
Daily check-up call
Health Care Clinic – weekdays

Frail Care:

Five days a year free of charge in the dedicated frail care unit, thereafter residents will pay a subsidized rate of R625 per day for a maximum of 4 weeks. If a resident requires a longer stay in frail care, then full rates will be charged for the balance of the stay in frail care. Should frail care patients require additional Staff (personal care-giver), it will be charged out at the going industry rates. An administration fee of R480 ex Vat will be charged per outside care-giver per month, therefore we recommend that you use our fully trained in-house care-givers as this will save you the extra costs.

Other:

Dietician approved daily midday meal, including approved diabetic meals.
Lunch may be swapped for dinner.
Twice weekly cleaning of apartment(maximum of 2.5 hours per clean)
Linen laundered weekly and towels laundered twice weekly.
Concierge and e-mail assistance

2.) SAPPHIRE

In addition to the above, the following services are included:

Daily make-up of beds and daily cleaning of apartment (maximum of 10.5 hours per week)
Linen laundered twice weekly and towels laundered daily

3.) PEARL

In addition to the above, the following services are included:

Daily visit by nursing staff
Administration of medication (cost of medicines and supplies not included)
Daily assistance with meals, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene (maximum of 1.5 hours in a 24 hour cycle)
Linen and towels replaced as required

ADDITIONAL NURSING CARE

Personal Nursing and Care-giver service can be arranged by the Nursing Manager should this service become necessary. Rates will be charged out at the going Industry rate.

PROPERTY LEVY

The levy covers all property related costs including general maintenance of the interior and exterior of the building and apartments, electricity and water, property running costs, property maintenance costs and 24-hour security.

A Levy Stabilization Fund has been established to stabilize levy increases and will come into effect after the first 5 years after your purchase.
