Where applicable these activities will carry a charge to cover costs. When you choose to participate in these activities this charge, if any, will be added to your monthly account with the Palm Gardens.

Health Care Staffing

Nursing Manager

An experienced Nursing Sister, is responsible for the control of the nursing operation, including staff, administration and nursing.

Her nursing duties include the following:
Obtain and update the medical records of all residents, e.g. medication, Illnesses, GP/Specialists’ details
Recruit, train and manage nursing staff
Set required nursing standards
Monitor and assess all staff as per job descriptions
Control medicines
Visit assisted living residents on a regular basis
Operate clinic weekdays only
Manage frail care facility
Provide 24-hour emergency response

Nursing Staff and Care Givers

The level of experience of the nursing staff is a key factor in making appointments.
All Sisters, Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nursing Assistants have standard training, as well as specialised training in Geriatrics. All Care Givers have training and knowledge of basic nursing.
